i want to be friendly

today i received icq message from unknown man. his avatar was a illustraded face with darker color of skin and his nick sounded kinda exotic, but he spoke my language; so first i thought he's a foreign student or so, but after longer conversation i gave him a question and he answered he's gypsy. well, why not? he was a little bit surprised that i talked to him anyway, but why? why have a lot of people prejudices against them or strangers? in the evening an italian man joined #czechoslovakia irc channel and after short chat he asked me if i'm nationalist, just because i told i like just italian food but i can't say if i like italian nation, because i don't know them so good like food, so my opinion can't be right. i think we all live in the same earth. if you walk by borders of countries, can you feel some change? i think you will see the same sun, the same clouds, breathe the same air, but just people behave different. if you behave bad to stranger, it can distort his/her opinion about your country. why i'm writing in english? i want to be friendly to everyone, so i'm using international language, because i want to be read not just locally.
